Turn your bed into a nurturing oasis that always welcomes you.
Get bedding that you love including sheets, pillowcases and a
bedspread that make you feel great. Make sure your bed is very
comfortable. If it’s not, get a soft foam pad or whatever is
needed to give you the best sleep possible. If you hate getting
into a cold bed at night, get an electric blanket to warm the
bed up before you get in.

Join a regular walking group to help you keep in shape and to
make new friends. If you like more vigorous exercise there are
cycling groups, jogging groups, swimming groups and of course
team sports.

Take a day off to just do nothing, no schedule, and no
requirements. Just relax and enjoy yourself. You’ll find that
your creativity blossoms and you will feel like you’ve had a
real vacation. You could even stay in your pajamas all day; have
breakfast in bed and watch TV or a movie.
60.
Listen to an audiotape that uses guided visualization. These
tapes can be very relaxing and nurturing. We have one called the
“Mini vacation” on one side and the “Feel great” tape on the
other side. There are many others you can find in your local
bookstore or on the Internet.

Here’s a great stress release technique. Imagine yourself
inhaling harmony, love and inspiration as you breathe in. Then,
breathe out stress and negativity. Do this simple technique for
5 or ten minutes - notice how you feel. Another technique is to
imagine being in a beautiful scene in nature. Make it as perfect
as you can to make yourself feel great!
62.
Have a cup of your favorite tea, sip it slowly and relax. If you
haven’t had tea in a long time, go to your grocery or health
food store and check out all the different kinds they have
there. Pick out one or two to try, take them home and enjoy.
63.
Stretch; take some time to really give yourself a great
stretching session. You can lie down on the floor at home and
pretend you’re a cat. Put your arms out, make noises and really
feel your body. You could also try doing Yoga or Tai Chi if
you’re already familiar with them. If not, you might want to
take a class and find out just how relaxing and invigorating it
is to really stretch yourself!
64.
Spend some time thinking about what you eat every day. Are you
eating foods that you know support your health or do you eat
quick things because you don’t have time? Give yourself the gift
of time to buy and prepare food that you really enjoy and that
supports your health. You might want to try learning about
vitamins and other supplements as well. Spend some time reading
about health and learning how to take better care of yourself.
65.
Try being silent for one whole day. See if this makes you feel
relaxed and renewed.

Massage your neck for ten minutes. You can find little massage
tools at health food stores. Check them out and see what works
best for you.
